Tastefully Yours(2025) Kdrama Review: Does it satisfy everyone's hunger? Here's my Sweet and Sour Review:

Here's the short story description:

Depicts the story of Han Beom U, the successor of a large food company, who runs the best fine dining restaurant in Seoul but has no interest in 'taste', and Mo Yeon Ju, a chef crazy about 'taste' who runs a one-table restaurant without a sign in a remote corner of the countryside. They grow together and fall in love while running a small restaurant in the city of Miraek, Jeonju.



Opening Episodes:

Opening episodes sets the tone of Rom-Com ordinary KDrama plot. Two brothers fighting for 3 Michelin Stars for their respective Star hotel on behalf of their greedy and established Chef mom. She straight away says, whoever brings here 3 stars will inherit all her fortune.

Brother's Feud:

Both the brothers fight for their Stars not in a honest way. It's all by bringing in famous Chef or by stealing other restaurant hit recipes. Kang Ha Neul (Han Beom U) smashes whoever comes on his way, manipulates in whatever way he can to get other restaurant recipes. It was slightly twist, in a way, I thought he would be a honest fellow. 

Buy the elder brother cunningness, Kang Ha Neul has lost all his power and have to move to country side, where he is in process of getting all the recipes from Female lead.


Go Min Si (Mo Yeon Ju) Role:


Currently in the country side, with not so fancy restaurant, cooks dishes from her heart. All Fine Dining dishes. There's no fancy market and no revenue. She is in need of money to pay her bills. She doesnt have any other go than to make a deal with Beom U. He becomes partner. There's nothing that is new so far.

Chemistry Here:


Both Yeon Ju and Beom U shows good chemistry and the scenes where they build the restaurant with the colleagues is Refreshing and funny too. Their hardwork in winning the food truck competition was nicely done.

Second Hero Entry:

Surprising twist when Yoo Yeon Seok, enters the drama as the second lead. All was well with the main couples and a crack starts visible when he enters. Where we always love to see Yeon Seok, he is not given a not so great role here. He's Yeon Ju's EX and stays EX.

Final Crack:

Beom U, as expected changes his character with all sincerity and love establishes with Yeon Ju only to take a break in the 9th episode as per KDrama blueprint, when his plan to steal recipes prior is known. Now, after a episode it is guaranteed they will get back together.

My Review:


I would blog, this is nothing new and we are not watching this kind of plot new. However, the screenplay and chemistry is refreshing to watch and satisfies the viewers.

Touching relationship with Grandma and Chef at France is lovely to watch. However see the KDrama with no higher expectations ! You will like the feel good Drama as it is.
