Oh my Ghost Clients (2025), had me pulled to watch it, just by the name. Does it meet the expectations? Here's my review:
Everyone likes the horror genre but with some emotional story behind it, like the Midnight Cafe or the Late night restaurant. Where we get scared by the ghost for a minute and then get to like them after knowing their flashbacks. This genre is proven to be successful. Yet, what is new in the story? Did the screenplay was intriguing?!
Here's my thoughts:
Jung Kyung Ho (No Mu Jin) Lead's Role:
Having acted in all success career, here his introduction starts with loosing all the hard earned money in Crypto. Being kicked out by wife. He's got no where to go. Being advised that he can earn what is lost, he prepares to be a successful Labor attorney.After 1 year of hard work, he gets this certification. He's eager to take upon any labor related cases. Unfortunately he didnt get any cases even if he discounted quarter of his fees.
The Trio:
While snooping around an industrial site with content creator Ko Gyeon U and Na Hui Ju, his sister-in-law, Mu Jin gets in an accident. To survive, Mu Jin signs a contract with a mysterious being that appeared from nowhere. But then, he starts seeing ghosts who died unjustly.
The trio forms Team Mujins to uncover the truth behind labor sites. Confronted with the horrors of reality scarier than any ghost, such as collapsing factories, absurd contracts, and stolen wages, Mu Jin walks a tightrope between survival and justice. It starts clumsily, but Mu Jin never gives up once he sets his mind to it. With relentless determination, he begins to resolve the lingering regrets of the dead. But can he truly speak for the dead and change the world.
Stories of Ghosts:
A hard working nurse is subjected to over work and bullying by her senior at work. She's affected her mental health and she takes blame for the mistake done my Doctor. Pitiful, she's not able to speak but shows her pain through scenes to No Mu Jin. He's able to solve the mystery of her death and brings justice to her death. That was emotional and the cast did a great job.
No Mu Jin's Family Struggle:
Once No Mu Jin got a call from his dad. Worried that his mother might me cheating on him. Upon learning how the senior citizens have been harassed and his mom;s best friend is dead now. He represented all the loyal workers and brought justice to them.
I felt all that is ok, but the two episodes could have been trimmed. but the emotions are taken good.
Death of young Teen (Lee Min Uk):
Eager to take on a new job that the college offered in campus interview, he was assigned a dangerous machinery task, where he was dead not quickly but was bleed to death by every second. I was hooked up on seeing that episode. It was so emotional. Well shot by the team..
The story continues of meeting who's dead due to the injustice happened at the work.
My Review:
This is not like any random people who is coming as a ghost guest and saying their views.
The plot is around the people who lost lives due to the work injustice. No Mu Jin, plays his part very well as a labor attorney.
The trio will little love portion is also quite good. the chemistry and the liveliness is good.
Coming to see only Horror will leave u disappointed. If you expect something fast and furious judgements, only Juvenile Justice serves the better, the best!
