The Atypical Family is a 2024 KDrama fantasy romance series that aired on JTBC from May 4 to June 9, 2024, and is available for streaming on Netflix in select regions. 

Plot Summary:



The series centers on the Bok family, each member possessing unique supernatural abilities:

  • Bok Gwi-ju (Jang Ki-yong) can travel back in time to relive happy memories.
  • Bok Dong-hee (Claudia Kim) has the ability to fly.
  • Bok Man-heum (Go Doo-shim) experiences precognitive dreams, foreseeing future events.
However, modern lifestyle challenges—such as depression, insomnia, and addiction—have caused them to lose their powers. Their lives take a turn when Do Da-hae (Chun Woo-hee), a mysterious woman, becomes involved with the family, leading to unexpected changes and revelations.

Bok Gwi Ju has the ability to travel back in time, but only to happy moments from his past. Unable to change anything, he becomes depressed and loses his power. His family also loses their supernatural abilities due to modern struggles like insomnia, bulimia, and smartphone addiction. When Do Da Hae enters their lives, she begins living with them and sparks a change.

Do watch, the cast is brilliant and I loved how the ending was. The Kid who played in the pawn have acted here and she's brilliant.
